Bowser

Long Beach, CA

  Breed: Bulldog

  Weight: 75 lbs

  Age: 3 years old

  Gender: Male

Bowser is generally friendly, sweet and calm. He lounges around at home for the most part and gets into playful moods 1-2 times throughout the day where he'll play fetch or keep away with treats. He knows how to "sit, lay down, turn around, go inside create, paw, up and down." Outdoor, he can be a little stubborn with where he wants to walk/go and it may take some pulling to redirect him. But in general once he's on a walk he does really well and follows along. He is not treat-motivated outdoors. In terms of interactions with other dogs, Bowser is generally uninterested. When approached, he is a little suspicious/guarded but after a few sniffs, he dashes away or walks off. He has had many negative experience with dogs in the past (either a lot of them don't like him or has attacked him). Bowser's main triggers are reactive dogs, dogs asserting dominance and snarling. This is when he'll become almost unrecognizable. He too will become angry and barky. He is sensitive to loud unrecognizable/unfamiliar noises and sometimes objects especially if it's a stranger holding the object. He will start to feel threatened and go into a fight mood. During your time with Bowser, it is best to keep him away from other dogs given the unpredictability of both him and other dogs. However it is ok with him with your dog as long as they seem like a match!

  Weight: 65 lbs

  Age: 3 years old

  Gender: Male

  Breed: Australian Labradoodle

  Weight: 55 lbs

  Age: 2 years old

  Gender: Female

Kyle and I are in our thirties and we have two amazing well behaved pups. Charlie is a 3 year old German shepherd mix, he loves to play fetch but he has no canine teeth so only soft and squishy balls and plush toys. He was a rescue and had distemper when he was a pup. He has separation anxiety and is very scared of fireworks. He needs snacks throughout the day and he has a very sensitive stomach. He’s a very good boy. Zoe is 2 and she’s super smart, laid back and sometimes mischievous and curious. They keep each other company and are great play mates.

Cali

Long Beach, CA

  Breed: Boxer

  Weight: 50 lbs

  Age: 7 years old

  Gender: Male

Hi! I’m Cali, the sweetest Boxer/ pit mix you’ll ever meet! 🐕🐾 I love people & really enjoy cuddles and affection. People on the street always stop my Mom & ask if they can pet me & I always love it! I’m quiet & chill for the most part, but skateboards scare me & make me anxious. I’m Cristina, Cali’s mom! Cali is a good tempered & playful pup. He gets along well with other dogs & loves to play usually with dogs his size. I’m hoping to meet other dog loving parents for both doggie dates & to care for each other’s furbabies! 💖

Gustav

Long Beach, CA

  Breed: Pug

  Weight: 20 lbs

  Age: 4 years old

  Gender: Male

Hi, I’m Rachel. My partner Natalie, our pug Gustav, and I moved down to Long Beach earlier this summer. Excited to be here and close to the beach! We live in an apartment and so we take Gustav on 3-4 walks a day to go potty. Walks can range anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. We also try to take him out to do something fun 1 or 2 times a week like going to the park or beach to run around off leash, a hike, and paddle boarding. I work from home, so am home most of the time unless I am going to the gym or we have social plans. Gustav is a funny little dude. Really well behaved inside, fully potty trained, mostly likes to sleep in whatever room you are also in. He will climb up on your couch and bed, though. Extremely food motivated but the most polite beggar. He enjoys sniff walks and is very good off-leash and friendly with other dogs. On leash, he is ok as long as he is not too close to other dogs — never aggressive, just wants to play so gets a bit yappy.
